  • This is one of those questions where the answer will depend on who you ask. Please see this page from Mennonite Church USA for more information.

  • Kind of like the Mennonite question, it depends. We’re not Bible thumpers and believe more in following Jesus in our lives than making sure you follow Jesus in the way we think you should in your life.

That said, the first Mennonites in Idaho believed that the example they set with their lives might be the only Bible some people read. That type of evangelicalism we can get behind.

  • If you want a place where you can discuss your faith and not be preached at, we might be the church for you.

If you’re looking for a church that has an eight-person worship band, a 30-minute sermon, a kids program, and different groups to join, we wish you well on your search. We are not the church for you.

  • We sing some songs, pray for each other, and share our thoughts on that Sunday’s verses. We follow the Revised Common Lectionary.

  • Well, we all are in a way. Our church has had pastors in the past, and may again in the future, but we have chosen to follow the congregationally led model. We have access to pastors if needed. Some Mennonite churches, such as Corvalis Mennonite Fellowship in Oregon, have always been congregationally led.

Not long ago, pastors in the Mennonite Church were chosen by lot so this is not too far from that tradition.
